Step 1: Make a mug of hot chocolate. Preferably Mexican hot chocolate, with lots of cinnamon and foam.
Step 2: Grab a cookie. Or two. Hell, this is special so you can have three if you’d like.
Step 3: Wrap yourself in a blanket, grab a stuffed animal or (and this is the best) put on a hoodie that just came out of the dryer.
Step 4: Sit back, get cozy…
Step 5: And listen:

If it seems too adorable for you at first, just know that it gets surprisingly dark and 100% epic.
(Once again, I am eternally grateful to Rocket Queen for posting something wonderful.)
Bonus ways to fix your heart, at least if you are me: a surprise mixtape from Seattle Courtney, playing Egyptian Rat Screw AND Tetris with a boy for the first time in years, and Josh Arnold in general. Oh and Twilight, obviously.
Okay, fess up. This is you when you were a kid right? And you secretly speak French? …That’s why you’re called Secretly Stephy, right? You secretly speak French and tell Kafka-esque children stories?
Also, I’ve been playing Tetris Party on the Wii; do you have a Wii? You seem more like a PlayStation or xBox person.
I had the exact same haircut and I’m part French, so it’s a start. Here’s a couple pics of me as a kid:

I took French for years but am terrible (tair-eee-bleh) at speaking. When I went to Paris, all I was good for was translating menus for friends.
Jason has an x-box and we are babysitting a Wii til Christmas. I am basically an old-school Nintendo girl for life. He hooked it up to the big TV last week and I am in heaven. (“Too late now; you decided to be dead in heaven!”)
Oh, and if that one is little me, than this one is little Janet: http://vimeo.com/1420991
and this one is little Courtney: http://vimeo.com/108789
Dude, that was me every morning freshman year of highschool! I’d put on my mom’s old Saturday Night Fever record and by the time I was done getting ready for school I was pumped! My favorite was Disco Inferno. And I actually got the bonus question right in history because of “A Fifth of Beethoven”. Rock on!
oooh you got to get tetris for the wii and we can play 2 player mega team tetris building on the uber uber wide box, that some shizznit.
And this was me as a kid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA_3MnVen08
By “Mexican Hot Chocolate,” do you mean ABUELITA!? Man I have several tablets of ABUELITA in my cupboard.
YES DUDE. That has been my fave since middle school.
